Like Georgian bay in winter, this roving is a steely grey with very subtle colour variation.
Made from often overlooked wool, this wool is ideal for hand spinning, felting, weaving, and for peg looms. Created from wools that include Scottish Blackface, Icelandic mix, Shetland mix, Gotland, and some of our adorable mutt sheep (the ones that thrived on pasture) it's been blended for long-draw spinning, peg loom weaving, and felting. The mixed fibre lengths provide a long staple and a strong felt.
Our Grey County Tweed roving includes colours that have been mixed during processing. Colours are varied to give a unique and pleasing look.
Using GOTS-approved dyes, the colours retain their colours during washing and are ideal for those projects where you want the colour to stay for a long time.
