Introduction to Spinning on a Wheel - 2 hour mobile workshop

Spinning fibres go back to the beginning of humanity. It still holds a fascination for many to see the seemingly magical transformation from a cloud of fibre being turned into a piece of useful yarn. 

In this 2-hour introductory mobile workshop, you will be introduced to the basics of the spinning wheel. First, you will become familiar with the wheel and how it works. Then you will prepare fibre in different ways for spinning. There are many opportunities to practice your spinning during the workshop. This workshop is ideal for those with no experience but curious to try.

All materials are included, and you will go home with some of your own hand-spun yarn.

Each workshop is priced per person. Minimum of 3 people; for fewer than 3, the fee is $150, plus travel fee @ $0.50/km
