In this 1.5 hour talk, Jennifer, farmer-founder of the first international affiliate of Fibershed, will go through a brief history of wool, shepherding, and how sheep played an important role throughout global history. She will touch on ancient textiles, sheep breeds, how sheep influenced society both good and bad.
You will leave with a greater understanding of the uniqueness and importance of wool throughout history and into the future.
Once booked, dates will be arranged. There is no limit to Zoom participants.

Jennifer has over 15 years of experience in raising various breeds of sheep for different purposes, including meat, fiber, dairy, and solar grazing. She and her husband, Tim, started a farm from scratch, beginning with an acre of land and a gift of two sheep. Since 2010, Jennifer has been actively speaking, teaching, and promoting all things related to sheep.
